1. Free Demo Session

First things first – the only way to begin your training at Canyon CrossFit is with a FREE INTRO session, these are by appointment only.

Our INTRO session is a FREE one-on-one, private training session during which you’ll get a chance to learn a lot more about our program and actually experience a CrossFit workout for yourself. It is by appointment only, about 50 minutes and is a prerequisite for taking a class. Its purpose is to help us serve you better by getting to know your goals and expectations, fitness level, and experience. Once you have completed the Intro, you then will be approved to continue to our “Crossfit Fundamentals” or our “Crossfit Prep” program. Your current fitness level and experience will determine which road you will first travel. All are welcome at Canyon Crossfit, even fitness beginners! Get started today!

2. Crossfit Prep

Are you a fitness beginner? Someone who has never worked out, or it’s been a long time since you worked out? Our “CrossFit Prep” program may be the next step for you. We will work with you in a small group (5 people maximum) twice a week to develop your fitness level and range of motion. This program has a maximum time limit of 2 months or 20 sessions. 4 Basic Crossfit Movements will be developed with an emphasis on mobility improvement to ensure proper range of motion. These 5 movements include Air Squats, KB Sumo Deadlift High Pulls, Ring Rows, Deadlifts, and Plyo-Box Steps.

3. Crossfit Fundamentals

If you are currently active and working out, or have previously been active and working out, our Crossfit Fundamentals Program may be the right starting point for you.

A firm grasp of the fundamentals is essential for the safety and effectiveness of the CrossFit programming. To that end, we need to spend more time with new athletes and give them a solid grounding in the fundamentals. Our Fundamentals classes are smaller (maximum of 10) than our standard classes (maximum of 16) to ensure quality coaching and instruction.

Here’s what you’ll learn:

  • Gain an understanding of CrossFit methodology. You’ll gain an understanding of the elements of fitness and how our programming in the gym will help you get fitter in every way. You will be able to explain to your co-workers or spouse why you are not going to be spending 30 minutes every day on the treadmill!
  • Learn the form and technique to perform the fundamental CrossFit movements
  • You will also get information about our proven Nutrition Program called “Performance Nutrition”(Based on Whole9) nutrition information so that you can begin the process of optimizing your body composition. We all want to get lean, lose fat and keep muscle. Here’s the truth…you can’t out train a crappy diet!
  • During these sessions you will get a workout. They will get progressively more challenging as we go. The difficulty of them is in your hands.

Our Fundamentals classes meet 3 days a week for 2 weeks for a total of 6 classes. We will cover the CrossFit nine fundamental movements and methodology needed to participate in the group class atmosphere. This class is for the generally healthy individual. A total of 6 classes will required to graduate from the Fundamentals Program. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns about these classes.

4. Put Into Practice

Once the Crossfit Fundamentals program is completed and you are approved for the “Crossfit All-Levels Classes (Daily WOD). You can start the regularly scheduled classes according to the membership plan you have chosen.
