We provide ourselves on having a jump in point for our program regardless of fitness level. We usually enroll our new clients straight into our “CrossFit Fundamentals” classes but when some of our new clients need a little more basic fitness preparation to get started, our “CrossFit Prep Class” is a perfect fit. The “Crossfit Fundamentals” program is geared to get our new clients up to speed with all the basic CrossFit movements which will prepare them to join our “All-Levels” Classes.


  1. CrossFit Prep – If you have never worked out before, or it’s been a while, our “CrossFit Prep” class is designed to build your fitness level up to a point that you can handle our “CrossFit Fundamentals” Class.
  2. CrossFit Fundametals – This fundamentals class is designed to give you the baseline knowledge needed to participate in the “All-Levels” Classes.
  3. All-Levels Class – This is our standard class. Each class will last approximately 60 minutes and will contain 4 phases:
    1. Warmup
    2. Skills/Mobility
    3. WOD – “workout of the day”
    4. CORE – Core development
  4. CrossFit Masters – the owners of Canyon CrossFit are 50 and 49 years old so we have a large demographic of over 40 year olds. Crossfit’s definition of the “Master’s” Athlete is anyone over 40 years of age.


Nutrition: Performance Nutrition Experience (PNE)

Canyon CrossFit’s “Performance Nutrition Experience” is an 8-week nutrition program designed to give you nutrition awareness. Knowing how food affects you is the key to healthy nutrition. You will eat “clean” for 30-days and then re-introduce certain foods that you were eating before eating clean to see how these foods affect you. It is amazing how “de-sensitized” we get by eating these unhealthy foods on a regular basis. The experience may be life changing.

Recovery: Marc Pro Recovery

Recovery is important to a CrossFitter. Since we push our bodies harder than the average person, being able to recover quickly is key. The basis for post exercise recovery is the normalization of tissue through the movement of nourishment and waste. Marc Pro is specifically designed and excels at this particular task. The Marc Pro muscle conditioning device creates unique, strong, but completely non-fatiguing muscle contractions that set off a cascading series of physiologic events.
